Installed And Assembled Cross-Section

All Adobelite fireplaces have been approved by Intertek Testing Service for use nationally, and use the FMI, Superior, or Heatilator air-cooled double-wall chimney system. Any of these systems should be easy to find at a fireplace or stove dealer in your area. If you can purchase the chimney parts locally, you will save shipping costs.
If you will be supplying your own chimney, use the information below in Fig. 1, Firebox And Chimney Cross-Section, and Figs. 2 and 3, Firebox Dimensions, along with the clearance requirements on the following page, to determine the components you will need to install your kiva.
When you order your new fireplace, you will be asked to indicate the type of chimney system you will be using (FMI, Heatilator, or Superior) so we can ship the correct starter collar with your kiva fireplace kit.
Adobelite can also supply the FMI chimney system with your order. In that case, you will be asked to supply the measurements for your type of roof installation.
